To be clear: I have never used Vanced at all, so I have no horse in that particular race. Also: no I don't want to use VPN or any other "workarounds" to get a cheaper price because I also don't want Google to decide randomly at some point to block my entire account over it or something like that. As a comparison, YouTube premium in the US costs the same as Netflix SD plan, whereas in my country it costs almost the same as Netflix HD plan so clearly there's some price gouging going on here-still I would pay for lite subscription if it existed here. In my country monthly subscription costs the equivalent of USD 17 which is quite a bit more expensive than the price in the US. As soon as lite is available in my country I will subscribe-but knowing Google/YouTube that's probably never going to happen unfortunately, so I'm left with a monthly price that feels "too expensive" subjectively. Unfortunately, YouTube does not consider my country worthy enough to offer the "premium lite" subscription they offer in some other countries.
